The brief required a space that was both luxurious and intimate. It was to be dedicated to couture inspired shoes. Clientele should feel that they are in a stunning, classic, and original shopping environment.

Kurt Geiger and Harrods sought a department that is a dream come true for any shoe lover. Using high quality materials and displays, the surroundings would complement the shoes.

As well as the shopping areas, private consultation rooms were required – together they would create an overall sense of sophistication, style and exclusivity.

The uniqueness of the space was partly created by the lighting. With black carpet and stone on the floor and dark fixtures, the lighting was key to the scheme. By directing a spotlight on each shoe, an element of drama was provided, which each shoe taking central stage.

Rooms were created using full-height black voile fabric. The sheer effect invites customers into the different spaces. The walkway was also framed with spot-lit pedestals.

The private VIP rooms were created to provide the ultimate opulent shopping experience. The rooms were shaped with full-height voile fabric, lined with silk. Inside, oversized couches made from buff-coloured pony skin, provide a relaxing environment to try on shoes whilst drinking champagne and experiencing the ultimate level of service.
